How This Calculator Works

The calculator computes the room perimeter (2 x (length + width)), multiplies by ceiling height for gross wall area, then subtracts 21 sq ft per standard door and 15 sq ft per standard window. A 10% overage is added for pattern matching and waste before dividing by the roll coverage.

Formula: rolls = ceil(net_area x 1.10 / roll_coverage). The 1.10 multiplier is a standard industry allowance for waste and matching.
