K/D Ratio Calculator

Calculate kill/death ratio, KDA, and win rate from kills, deaths, assists, and games

Frequently Asked Questions

How is K/D ratio calculated?

Kill/death ratio = total kills ÷ total deaths. With 240 kills and 200 deaths, K/D = 1.2. A ratio above 1 means you average more kills than deaths; deaths of zero are usually shown as a "perfect" ratio rather than dividing by zero.

What is KDA and how is it different?

KDA credits assists: KDA = (kills + assists) ÷ deaths. It rewards team play in games like League of Legends or Dota where assists matter, so a support with few kills but many assists still scores well.

How is win rate figured?

Win rate = wins ÷ games played × 100. 55 wins in 100 games is a 55% win rate. Over a large sample, win rate tracks skill more reliably than K/D because it reflects whether your play actually wins matches.

Is a higher K/D always better?

Not necessarily - padding kills while losing objectives can inflate K/D without winning. In objective modes, win rate and score-per-minute often matter more than raw K/D.
