What is #57 limestone?

What is limestone screenings?
Crushed limestone dust and fine particles (under 1/4 inch). Used as paver base bedding, stone dust paths, leveling under flagstone, and as a fines source mixed with larger stones. Compacts hard when wet but does not drain - water sheds off.
Can I use limestone for a base under concrete?
Yes. #304 or #411 limestone is the standard concrete sub-base. Compact in 2-inch lifts to 95 percent Proctor density. The graded mix supports concrete uniformly without point loads that cause cracking.
