By default, yes - subtract the break minutes from worked hours. Some union or salaried roles have paid breaks; leave the break field at 0 in that case.
What if I worked past midnight?
The calculator detects clock-out earlier than clock-in and adds 24 hours automatically. Pure midnight crossover is handled.
What rounding rule?
Most timesheets use minute precision. The calculator reports the exact difference; round in the payroll system per your employer's rule (e.g., 7-minute rule, 15-minute increments).
