Crop Yield Calculator

Calculate yield per acre and gross revenue from harvest, acreage, and price

Frequently Asked Questions

How is yield per acre calculated?

Divide total harvest in bushels by the number of harvested acres. The result is the standard per-acre figure used to compare fields, hybrids, and seasons.

Should I use planted or harvested acres?

Use harvested acres for an honest yield figure. Counting prevented or failed acres understates the yield the land that was actually cut produced.

How do I find revenue per acre?

Multiply yield per acre by the cash price per bushel. Total revenue is total bushels times price, useful for weighing a crop against its input costs.

Does moisture affect the yield figure?

Yes. Convert all loads to a common moisture basis, typically 15.5% for corn, before comparing fields, or drydown differences will distort the comparison.
