REDUX monthly pension = (2.5% × YOS − 1.0% × (30 − YOS)) × High-3 base, which equals 40% of base at 20 years versus High-3's 50%. REDUX also reduces annual COLA by 1 percentage point each year until a one-time catch-up at age 62 that restores the multiplier to the High-3 equivalent - but the COLA cut for the rest of life is not restored. Lifetime comparison: High-3 lifetime ≈ monthly × 12 × (life_expectancy − retire_age); REDUX lifetime ≈ monthly × 12 × years_retired × (1 − colaCut × years_retired ÷ 2) + $30,000 bonus.
