This calculator expects m/s, so convert your speeds before entering them. Divide km/h by 3.6 (1 km/h = 0.278 m/s), or multiply mph by 0.447 (1 mph = 0.447 m/s). Example: a car going 0 to 60 mph is 0 to 26.8 m/s; if it takes 6 s, acceleration = 26.8 / 6 ≈ 4.47 m/s². Convert both the initial and final speeds so the result comes out in m/s².
