Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as an at-bat for batting average?
Only official at-bats. Walks, hit-by-pitch, sacrifices, and sacrifice flies are excluded from the denominator, so the average reflects true hitting opportunities.
How do I enter innings like 6.2?
In baseball, 6.2 innings means 6 and two-thirds. Convert thirds to a decimal first, so 6.2 becomes 6.67 and 6.1 becomes 6.33, then enter that for an accurate ERA.
What is the maximum passer rating?
The NFL passer rating caps at 158.3, often called a perfect rating. Each of the four components is also capped, so extreme single stats cannot push the rating beyond the maximum.
Is this the NFL or college passer formula?
It uses the NFL passer rating formula. College football uses a different efficiency formula with a wider range, so the numbers are not interchangeable.
