Frequently Asked Questions
When does implantation usually happen?
Implantation typically occurs 6–12 days after ovulation, with day 8–10 the most common. From the last menstrual period (LMP) in a 28-day cycle, that lands around LMP + 21 days (ovulation ≈ LMP + 14, then +7).
How does the calculator estimate my implantation window?
It takes either your LMP (adds ≈21 days, with a 6–12-day window around ovulation) or your known ovulation/conception date and adds 6–12 days. The output is a range, not a single date.
Can I take a pregnancy test on the implantation date?
Usually not yet - hCG rises after implantation and most home tests need ≈25 mIU/mL. Sensitive early-result tests can show a faint line 1–2 days after implantation; standard tests are more reliable from the day of your missed period onward.
Is light spotting on the implantation date normal?
About 15–25% of pregnant people notice light pink or brown spotting around implantation that lasts a few hours to 1–2 days. Heavy bleeding, cramping, or clots are not typical implantation spotting - contact your OB-GYN. This tool is informational, not medical advice.
